The Town will place a new Yield sign at Sunset Dr. and Manor Dr. in Fremont. 


Town of Manlius Recreation Department summer musical is Guys and Dolls.  The volunteer actors, musicians and stage crew did a great job! 


The Town of Manlius Planning Board held a meeting Monday July 22nd at the new Manlius Fire House community room with several items on the agenda.  Several residents spoke in opposition to a plan by COR Development to locate a Chase Bank branch adjacent to the Route 5 driveway to Towne Center in part of the area that is now lawn/park.  It was also suggested that COR build a sidewalk along Burdick Street from Genesee Street to the driveway near Carrabba’s.

A Public Hearing was held regarding a planned ‘Cluster Development’ of 21 single family homes on Hoag Lane.  There is significant neighborhood opposition  primarily due to drainage concerns.  This event was attended by Town of Manlius Councilor Candidates Elaine Denton and Heather Waters and current members Sara Bollinger, Rich Rosetti and John Loeffler.


The Town of Manlius rents the Police Station from the Village of Manlius.  There are several issues with the building.  After considerable back and forth, the Town was able to install air conditioning prior to the heat wave in July.


The Village of Fayetteville plans to expand Canal Landing park along the Feeder behind Town Hall.  This phase will include a ‘natural playground’, a soccer field and some picnic shelters.
