Snowfall is still a little below average, but with more than 30” in February we have almost caught up. We appreciate the work of our Highway Department! A few Highway team members have been impacted by COVID, so the remaining members are covering multiple shifts. The town is divided into three routes, each of which takes about four hours to plow, depending on the weather. If it snows overnight, the first shift begins at 3AM.
At the February 10th meeting the Board appointed Valerie Beecher to the Planning Board and Clare Miller to the ZBA. The Planning Board held a Public Hearing on 2/22 regarding the proposed Woodland Hills/Hoag Lane development that was well attended.
Assessment letters will go out this spring. The Board adopted provisions to allow residents to file Grievances by email. This does not change the due dates.

Manlius has received the National Arbor Day Tree City designation again.
The Town approved the installation of streetlights in Homewood and Changing Seasons. The Highway Department will purchase two pick-up trucks to replace aging vehicles.

The Town has engaged Barton & Loguidice to be our planning consultant for a project, estimated to take about 18 months.
Prerna Deer has been designated as liaison to Manlius by Senator Mannion.
The zone change for 7030 Manlius Center Road from CA to CB was approved.
The Public Hearing on the Police Reform and Reinvention Plan developed in compliance with E.O. 203 will be March 10th . Please come and share your thoughts.
Also on March 10th will be a presentation on the proposed Sky Ridge/Salt Springs Water Project, planned in conjunction with the Town of Sullivan and OCWA.
