Arbor Day
The Manlius Tree Commission held an Arbor Day event giving out free trees to hundreds of families to celebrate Arbor Day in the Town of Manlius April 3rd. Cornell Cooperative Extension participated with an educational program about ticks and Lyme Disease. Thanks also to Bartlett Tree Experts who support the Tree Commission with arborists. The Town Board approved a Proclamation that was read at the event.
Fish Stock
Children were able to adopt a fish and release it into Green Lake. Thanks to partnerships with Onondaga County, Green Lakes State Park, the Villages of Manlius, Fayetteville, Minoa and Kirkville Fire District the Town of Manlius Recreation Department organized a very successful event. It helped that the weather was good. Attendance exceeded previous years.
The Work Session about plans for municipal building capital projects was held April 8th.
