Run for the Town Board
There is a vacancy on the Manlius Town Board. To be on the ballot this November to fill this vacancy, please send a letter of intent and resume to our Chair, Dylan Black at manliusdems2026@gmail.com. If you have any questions or would like a list of committee members, please contact Dylan.
If elected in November, this term will serve on the Town Board from January 1, 2027 – December 31, 2028.
If you are interested in being appointed to this seat by the Manlius Town Board to serve this year, please email your letter of intent and resume to the Town Clerk by May 6 at 4:30pm. cgrevelding@townofmanlius.org
Designation Process
May 6th – Letter of Intent and Resume
- Email a letter of intent and resume to Chair Dylan Black at manliusdems2026@gmail.com by 5pm. No late submissions will be accepted.
Candidate Interview
- Candidate interviews with the committee will be held. (Date TBA)
Designation Vote
- A vote will be held (Date TBA) to decide the candidate selected for the November Democrat ballot line.
Town Board is responsible for:
- Administering all assets and properties
- Adopting ordinances and local laws affecting the public health, safety, and welfare and providing penalties for their enforcement
- Appointing officers, commissions, boards, and other personnel necessary to administer the Town’s affairs
- Approving all bids for town services and materials
- Authorizing expenditures for specific projects not otherwise budgeted
- Formulating overall Town policy
- Governing the Town
- Reviewing and approving bills and payroll for payment
- Reviewing and approving Town budget
