Manlius Redevelopment Corporation

Cannabis in RT zone
A number of people spoke at a Public Hearing regarding changes to the RT zone to permit retail sales. After some revisions, the zone requirements were modified.

Work Session

Quarry Commission
Discussions have been taking place among the Town, TH Kinsella Quarry and the Changing Seasons Neighborhood for several months. Town Board desires to create a quarry commission, whose responsibilities would include (but are not limited to):

  • identifying the current and proposed uses of the Quarry;
  • commissioning the study of, and, studying the current and proposed uses of the Quarry, and, the impacts of the same on surrounding properties within the Town;
  • providing reports to the Town of Manlius Board on the effects of the current and proposed uses of the Quarry on surrounding properties within the Town;
  • providing recommendations to the Town Board in regards to mitigating any negative impacts to the health, safety and welfare of Town residents stemming from current and proposed uses of the Quarry.

Engineering & Construction Opportunities
Bids are open for a cold storage barn at the Highway Department and work on the Skyridge water system.

Tree Commission
Baby trees were passed out at Fish Stock. Arbor Day was April 26th . Work has begun on the Tree Inventory.

The Town Board reluctantly accepted the resignation of Town Clerk Allison Weber, who is moving on to a different position. The Board appointed Deputy Clerk Carrie Grevelding to be the Town Clerk for the remainder of the year. Carrie will need to run in November for a full term.
