The Comprehensive Plan is coordinating with the Climate Action Plan. Sustainable Manlius has been working with the CNY Regional Planning Board to develop this plan, which will guide the Town to move from the Bronze to the Silver level. In conjunction with both draft plans, Councilor Denton released a draft Neighborhood Sidewalk Program. This program empowers neighbors to organize in support of safe walkability, and provides funding for the engineering report.

Police Chief Mike Crowell resigned from the TMPD and Jason Cassalia was appointed Interim Police Chief. Interim Chief Cassalia is highly qualified. He was previously a TMPD officer and later Deputy Onondaga County Sherriff. He lives in the Town of Manlius.

A request for a zone change to permit expansion of the current Kinsella Quarry did not get enough votes to be referred to the Planning Board.

The Town is exploring options for a Planned Unit Development [PUD] for a parcel on Burdick Street now identified as Twin Ponds. The site is proposed to include a large apartment complex. Various Town officials have met with the Developer, County Officials and other advisors.

The Town Engineer presented a recommendation for Muirfield Stormwater Management in Drainage District #2. This has been troubling neighbors in this area for a while. The old drainage infrastructure needs replacement.
